Types of Membership
Board Certified Member
- Has fulfilled the NAJC Certification requirements as approved by the NAJC Certification Commission
- Maintains annual education requirements and 5- year peer reviews as determined by the Continuing Education Committee

Professional Member
- Has advanced Jewish and secular education, and
- Has 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) with ACPE accredited program

- Supports the mission and vision of NAJC whether or not they are ordained and/or Jewish

Student Member
- Is a full-time or part-time rabbinic, cantorial, or CPE student
OR
- Is a Jewish person in full-time training for chaplaincy
Annual Dues: $54
Retired Member
To be eligible as a retired member, one must be:
- Over the age of 60, and
- A Professional Member of NAJC in good standing for at least one year immediately preceding retirement status, and
- Employed no more than half-time

- Resides in Israel and supports the aims and mission of NAJC
- Supports the development of professional spiritual care and chaplaincy in Israel

Vital Support for Jewish Chaplains
NAJC members have access to exclusive support and study groups, as well as webinars from experts in the fields of grief, loss, trauma, and trends in current chaplain care.
Members are also invited to participate in the annual NAJC Conference, which brings together rabbis, chaplains, and spiritual care professionals from all over the world in an event that includes keynote addresses, workshops, panels, and opportunities to connect.
